Top 3 Product Creation Questions

In this article I am going to answer the most common product creation questions that I am asked by my subscribers. These are the top 3.
Question Number 1
What Topic Should I Choose? I am not sure what to write about.
Answer Number 1
You need to understand two things: What your area of expertise is and also what your followers or subscribers need.
If it turns out that your followers need help with something that you are not able to help them with then you can either go away and spend time researching so that you can offer that help or find someone else who has a great product that will be able to answer their questions.
If you do promote someone else's product then make sure that you promote it as an affiliate or you won't make any money from your promotion. Also make sure that you know the product and that it will not harm your own reputation.
Ideally it is worth spending time to research it yourself so that you can promote your own product. Your own followers will prefer to buy from you since they already know you.

What Format Should I Choose?

Basically the format needs to be the one that will help your customer the most. If they really need to see something visually to understand it then you would need to create a video.
If not then audio is a better format to use because they will get a deeper level of understanding by listening to it. Also it won't take you as long to create which is a huge benefit.
I would also recommend adding some extra bonus material in PDF format as customers like to be able to print something out - the information feels more tangible then.

I'm just starting out and don't have any followers yet. Should I still create something?

My answer is yes. Get over the product creation hurdle.
Besides in order for you to develop your own following you will need to build your own list of subscribers. To encourage people to sign up to your list you will need to create something of value to give to them.
Therefore product creation begins at this point. A report is still a product even if you offer it for free!
As soon as possible find out what else your subscribers need help with and then create your first paid product.

Getting The Results You Deserve
If you're still not seeing the results you want then it might be down to what you're actually selling. I have discovered that when you create your own information products you are far more successful but you need to keep the momentum going and get products out quickly.
