They were all centered around a "hero" who was living a normal, even boring life, until something FORCED them to go on a journey that would change their lives and the lives of everybody around them.
In modern times, these stories are still present in movies, TV shows and books. Harry Potter, Peter Parker are all examples of a "normal" person turning into a "hero."
The question is why are these stories so popular in mythology since the dawn of time?
Why do these stories resonate so deeply with us?
Why do are we so enthralled in these heroic transitions?
